CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE

The 2014 Conference seeks to:

  • examine the past and present aspects of the Caribbean’s water and waste sectors to determine the positions of the sectors for networking and resource development of successful endeavors;
  • arrange for manufacturers, suppliers and distributors to display goods and services being currently offered to the industry;
  • honour persons who have given distinguished service to the Caribbean Sectors

 

CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors wishing to present a paper should submit an abstract of not more than 500 words for consideration. Abstracts should be in English and contain a title, Author’s name(s) and full contact details.  Deadline for abstracts is July 14, 2014. Successful authors will be notified by July 28th 2014.Full papers should be submitted no later than August 20, 2014. All papers will be published in the official conference proceedings. Please focus on applied research, case studies and lessons learnt.

  • Utilize the enclosed Abstract Submittal Form
  • Length: Abstracts must not be more than half a page or 300 words
  • Size: Letter size or A4 (8.5”x11”) paper
  • Margins: Should be set at 2.54 cm (1 inch) top, bottom and sides.
  • Fonts: Arial at a size of 12 point
  • Digital format: Microsoft Word or pdf format
  • Language: English
  • Topic: Place the general topic area selected from the list provided, above the title
  • Title: Type abstract title on a line with formatting as it would appear in the final paper/poster

List Authors:

  • Presenting author first (underline). Use additional pages of the Abstract Submittal form if there is more than one author in order to provide biographical information.
  • Type affiliation immediately after author
  • Include affiliation name address, city and country in the Body of the
    Abstract:
  • Use the Abstract Submittal form to submit abstract. Do not use indentations or tabs
  • Space between paragraphs
  • Apply emboldments, italics, underlining, superscripts and subscripts in your main text as you want it to appear in your final abstract.

FINAL PAPER FORMAT:

  • Size: Letter size or A4 (8.5”x11”) paper
  • Margins: Should be set at 2.54 cm (1 inch)top bottom and sides.
  • Fonts: Arial at a size of 12 point
  • Digital format: Microsoft Word or pdf format
  • Language: English
  • Topic: Please place the Main or General Conference Topic area selected from the list provided, above the title
  • Title: Type paper title on a line with formatting as it would appear in the final publication

 Body of paper:

  • Type body without any indents or tabs.
  • There should be a double space between paragraphs.
  • Apply emboldments, italics, underlining, superscripts and subscripts in your main text as you want it to appear in your final paper.
  • Length of paper: No more than 10 pages

Authorship:

  • Each paper must be accompanied by names and affiliations of all authors;
  • Contact addresses for all authors (including email);
  • A short biography of the presenter containing five key bullet points; and,
  • Two (2) passport photographs.

Digital Format:
All text must be in one of the following with a maximum size of 2MB.

  • PDF Format
  • Pictures, Diagrams and charts: JPEG and GIF images are acceptable
